This course provides delegates with sufficient skills and knowledge to carry out the role of a First Aider in the workplace in accordance with current legislative requirements. Suitable for anyone wishing to be the designated First Aider in the workplace.
Be able to provide care for life-threatening conditions, minor illness and injuries in a higher risk environment until emergency help arrives.
Recognise vital signs and illnesses such as burns, sudden poisoning, heart attack and stroke.
Demonstrate an understanding of the main concepts of health and safety.
Show awareness of the benefits of health and safety culture.
Explain the roles and responsibilities of individuals, supervisors and management in health and safety.
Demonstrate an understanding of health and safety control and improvement strategies available to supervisors.
