What is ReAct funding?
The Welsh Government’s Redundancy Action Scheme fund (ReAct) is a scheme offered for those living in Wales who have been recently been made redundant.
ReAct is a grant that funds training courses and qualifications up to the total of £1500, to help with personal development and to help you boost your chances of landing a job.
How to apply?
All you need to do is chat to an adviser at Careers Wales who will help you find the best training courses to suit your specialties.
Your Careers Wales adviser will help you complete your funding paperwork and put you in touch with a suitable ReAct training provider – like us.
Follow the below guidelines to start your journey now:
Call – Get in touch with Careers Wales on 0800 028 4844 and make an appointment to speak to an adviser.
Discuss - You will then be offered support from a specialist guidance adviser who will want to look at your CV and discuss your previous experience to understand your career plan and goals.
Application – Careers Wales will complete the application with your help.
Course – This is where you get to choose which course you want to take and where you want to take it. (if you choose us, let us know and we will save you a place!)
Complete –When you have completed your training, the course provider will directly liaise with Careers Wales so that you don’t have to worry! You will then be sent a certificate to confirm completion, Congratulations!

Am I Eligible?
The scheme is available for the following:
- Residents of Wales.
- Were made redundant in the last 3 months.
- Are currently unemployed.
- Have not been in employment for six weeks or more since being made redundant.
- Have had their notice of redundancy.
- Have not taken any alternate funded training since being made redundant.
What is included in the funding?
The following financial support is available:
- Up to £1500 towards training
- Help with travel costs to get to and from the training
- Accommodation where suitable
- Help with costs for childcare during the course
- Help with costs of equipment needed for those with learning difficulties, disability or work-limiting conditions.
Can I do different courses with funding?
Yes, you can use the grant to help fund various courses. If training costs more than £1500, you may have to contribute to further costs.
