The Saturday Club is aimed at students (boys and girls!) who are interested to find out more about a career in engineering.
The course is not intended to support a particular aspect of the school curriculum but students who complete the programme can qualify for the CREST Bronze or Silver Awards. Successful applicants will follow a 12 week programme during which they will rotate through four modules studying Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics and Control Engineering.
Based at the Waterton Technology Centre in Bridgend, the programme offers a unique opportunity for students to develop valuable skills working alongside professional engineers in a £4m purpose-built training facility.
Students who might be interested in pursuing a career in either electrical or mechanical engineering at any level, either vocational or academic, should be encouraged to apply.
Applications are invited from students in Years 10, 11 & 12. However, please note there are places for only 32 students on the programme. Application forms should therefore be returned very promptly. Applications can be submitted online by clicking the link above called APPLY NOW
